Centivo Values:
- Resilient — This is wicked hard. There is no easy button for healthcare affordability. Luckily, the mission makes it worth it and sustains us when things are tough. Being resilient means we embrace challenges, follow through on commitments, and never avoid something just because it's hard.
- Uncommon — The status quo stinks, so we had to go out and build something better. We know the healthcare system isn't working for members, employers, and providers — so we're building it from scratch, in a way that actually works. Being uncommon means we simplify the complex, focus on efficiency over bureaucracy, and don't dodge the hard conversations.
- Positive — We care about each other. It takes energy to do hard stuff, build something better, and be resilient and uncommon while doing it. Because of that, we give kudos freely, give credit to others, and look for solutions rather than linger on problems. We take care of ourselves so we can take care of each other.

Which companies sponsor visas for technical support technicians in New York?
Large enterprise employers in New York with a history of sponsoring work visas for technical support technicians include IBM, Verizon, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, and Con Edison. Managed service providers and IT consulting firms operating across New York City also file sponsorships regularly. Sponsorship availability varies by hiring cycle and internal policy, so confirming directly with each employer's HR team is worthwhile.
Which visa types are most common for technical support technician roles in New York?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for technical support technicians in New York, though it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a relevant bachelor's degree is typically necessary. Australian nationals may qualify for the E-3 visa. Canadian and Mexican professionals can explore the TN visa. Some employers also sponsor O-1 visas for candidates with demonstrated technical distinction, though this is less common for support roles.
How to find technical support technician visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is specifically designed for international job seekers and filters technical support technician roles in New York by visa sponsorship availability, saving significant research time. Rather than sorting through general postings where sponsorship is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have actively sponsored work visas for similar roles. Filtering by New York state narrows results to the markets with the highest concentration of enterprise and tech employers.
Which cities in New York have the most technical support technician sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the large majority of technical support technician sponsorship opportunities in the state, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, media companies, and enterprise tech firms in Manhattan and the outer boroughs. Buffalo and Rochester have a smaller but active market tied to healthcare systems and regional manufacturers. Albany sees demand from state government contractors and technology service firms supporting public sector agencies.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for technical support technicians pursuing visa sponsorship?
New York City's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B regulations tend to reflect the city's high cost of living, so employers must meet Department of Labor wage levels specific to the New York metropolitan area. The region's strong university pipeline, including graduates from NYU, Columbia, and CUNY campuses, means competition for sponsored roles can be significant. Candidates with certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or vendor-specific credentials tend to be more competitive for sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical support technician jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
