We are a rapidly expanding manufacturing firm looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to become a key member of our technical staff. In this active, multi-craft position, you will be tasked with the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of our production machinery, ensuring that our manufacturing processes remain both safe and highly productive.
Successful applicants will demonstrate expert-level mechanical and electrical problem-solving abilities and enjoy working within a dynamic, high-output industrial setting.
Core Duties
- Identify and resolve equipment failures to help keep our production lines running smoothly.
- Execute scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure long-term machine health.
- Analyze and fix various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions.
- Maintain and swap out essential industrial parts such as gearboxes, motors, valves, pumps, bearings, and conveyor systems.
- Utilize technical blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to guide repair work.
- Examine PLC-driven systems to pinpoint faults, with programming knowledge being an added advantage.
- Handle the wiring and installation of electrical hardware, including sensors, VFDs, and motors.
- Execute necessary fabrication and welding tasks to support equipment repairs.
- Log maintenance activities and manage work orders through our CMMS platform.
- Assist in the setup of new machinery, system upgrades, and various process improvement projects.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following LOTO and other safety protocols.
- Work alongside engineering and production staff to boost the overall reliability of our machinery.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years working in a manufacturing maintenance capacity.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing both mechanical and electrical system issues.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the following: AC/DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains/sprockets, and pumps.
- Capability to interpret complex mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Practical experience in diagnosing issues within PLC-managed systems.
- Working knowledge of motor controls, sensors, VFDs, relays, and contactors.
- Background in welding and metal fabrication is considered beneficial.
- Prior experience utilizing CMMS software is highly desirable.
- Capacity to manage tasks autonomously while remaining a collaborative team player.
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certification or an Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a similar discipline.
- Previous background in sectors such as automotive, food and beverage, packaging, plastics, or metals manufacturing.
