Which transportation companies sponsor TN visas in North Carolina?
Companies with established logistics and transportation operations in North Carolina that have filed TN and other work visa petitions include XPO Logistics, Sysco, Amazon, FedEx, and Werner Enterprises. Freight carriers, third-party logistics providers, and large distribution center operators tend to be the most active sponsors, particularly in the Charlotte and Greensboro markets where intermodal and warehousing activity is concentrated.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most transportation TN sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte leads the state given its position as a major Southeast freight and distribution hub, with significant intermodal rail and trucking activity. Greensboro and the Piedmont Triad corridor have a high density of distribution centers and supply chain employers. Raleigh-Durham is growing steadily as e-commerce fulfillment expands. Wilmington also sees activity tied to its port operations and coastal freight movement.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN status in the transportation sector generally applies to professional and scientific roles rather than commercial driving or manual operations. Qualifying positions commonly include industrial engineers working in logistics optimization, management consultants advising transportation companies, computer systems analysts supporting fleet management platforms, and economists or statisticians working in supply chain analytics. The role must meet the specialty occupation criteria under the applicable TN professional category.
How do I find transportation TN sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN-eligible roles, and you can filter directly by visa type, state, and industry to surface transportation TN sponsorship jobs in North Carolina. Because TN sponsorship is employer-dependent, focusing on larger freight carriers, logistics companies, and distribution operators in the Charlotte and Piedmont Triad areas gives you the best starting point for identifying active sponsors.
Are there any North Carolina-specific considerations for transportation TN sponsorship?
North Carolina does not impose state-level immigration requirements on top of federal TN rules, but the state's transportation industry has some structural considerations worth knowing. Many roles in freight and logistics are classified as operations or skilled trades, which may not qualify under TN professional categories. Candidates should confirm that the specific job description aligns with a listed TN occupation before pursuing sponsorship, and employers in the state vary considerably in their familiarity with TN processing.
