Many North Dakota finance roles support the energy sector, so search for positions at banks with energy lending divisions or corporate finance roles at energy companies.
Which visa types are most common for finance roles in North Dakota?
H-1B visas dominate for finance analyst, risk management, and accounting positions requiring specialized knowledge. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican nationals in financial analyst roles. O-1 visas are rare but possible for senior finance executives with extraordinary achievements in energy finance or agricultural banking sectors.
Which cities in North Dakota have the most finance sponsorship jobs?

What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance jobs in North Dakota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
