Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain managers in North Dakota?
Companies with documented H-1B visa sponsorship history in North Dakota's supply chain space include Bobcat Company (a major equipment manufacturer headquartered in Bismarck), agricultural processors like AGT Foods, and energy sector employers including Basin Electric Power Cooperative. Larger firms with established HR infrastructure and legal counsel are more likely to navigate the sponsorship process than smaller regional distributors.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain manager roles in North Dakota?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain managers in North Dakota, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, logistics, or industrial engineering. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA successor agreement, which covers management consultants and certain engineering roles and does not require employer sponsorship through the H-1B lottery process.
Which cities in North Dakota have the most supply chain manager sponsorship jobs?
Fargo is North Dakota's largest metro and the primary concentration point for supply chain management roles, supported by its manufacturing base and proximity to regional distribution networks. Bismarck, as the state capital, hosts energy and government-adjacent employers. Grand Forks, home to the University of North Dakota, attracts roles tied to aerospace and agricultural research supply chains. Most sponsored positions are in Fargo.
How to find supply chain manager visa sponsorship jobs in North Dakota?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify supply chain manager openings in North Dakota where employers are willing to sponsor. Because sponsorship willingness is rarely advertised in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces this information directly saves significant research time for international candidates targeting North Dakota employers.
Are there state-specific considerations for supply chain managers seeking sponsorship in North Dakota?
North Dakota's agricultural and energy industries drive most supply chain hiring, so candidates with experience in commodity logistics, cold chain management, or oilfield procurement align well with local employer needs. The state's relatively small talent pool can work in favor of international applicants with specialized expertise. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific occupation and region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain manager jobs in North Dakota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
