Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain operations roles in North Dakota?
Agricultural and energy companies are the primary visa sponsors for supply chain operations roles in North Dakota. Cargill, ADM, CHS Inc., and Bunge have hired internationally for procurement, logistics, and operations positions. Larger manufacturers in the Fargo-Moorhead corridor and energy sector companies in Bismarck and Williston also have track records of H-1B visa sponsorship for operations and supply chain management roles requiring specialized degrees.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain operations roles in North Dakota?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for supply chain operations professionals in North Dakota, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, logistics, or operations research. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying managerial or engineering-adjacent roles. Some employers also sponsor EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions for experienced operations professionals in hard-to-fill positions.
How to find supply chain operations visa sponsorship jobs in North Dakota?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated platform for international job seekers looking for visa-sponsored supply chain operations roles in North Dakota. You can filter specifically for sponsorship-confirmed positions in the state, narrowing results by role type, city, and visa category. Because North Dakota's supply chain hiring is concentrated in agricultural processing and energy, searching Migrate Mate for those industry segments will surface the most relevant employers actively open to international candidates.
Which cities in North Dakota have the most supply chain operations sponsorship jobs?
Fargo is North Dakota's largest employment center and has the highest concentration of supply chain operations roles, driven by its manufacturing base and proximity to regional distribution networks. Bismarck, as the state capital and an energy sector hub, also sees regular hiring for logistics and procurement positions. Grand Forks, home to significant agricultural processing operations, and Minot, which supports energy industry supply chains, round out the main hiring markets.
Are there any state-specific considerations for supply chain operations visa sponsorship in North Dakota?
North Dakota's supply chain hiring is heavily tied to agricultural commodities and oil and gas production, so demand for operations professionals fluctuates with commodity cycles. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which are determined by the specific SOC code, experience level, and geographic area. North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota produce local supply chain graduates, so international candidates typically strengthen applications with specialized experience or graduate-level credentials.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain operations jobs in North Dakota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
