Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain operations roles in New York?
Large multinationals with significant New York footprints are among the most consistent sponsors for supply chain operations roles. Amazon, PepsiCo, Pfizer, Colgate-Palmolive, and IBM have all filed Labor Condition Applications for operations and supply chain positions in the state. Major retailers headquartered in or near New York City, including Estee Lauder and Tiffany & Co., also appear in federal H-1B disclosure data for these roles.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain operations roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa category for supply chain operations professionals in New York, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field. Candidates with advanced degrees may also be considered under EB-2 immigrant visa pathways. Those eligible for TN status (Canadian and Mexican nationals) may qualify if the role meets TN occupation requirements.
How to find supply chain operations visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters supply chain operations roles in New York by visa sponsorship history, so you're not wasting time on listings from employers who don't sponsor. You can browse verified sponsoring companies across New York City, Buffalo, and the broader state. Filtering by role and location on Migrate Mate significantly narrows your search to employers with a documented track record of sponsoring international workers.
Which cities in New York have the most supply chain operations sponsorship jobs?
New York City generates the largest volume of supply chain operations sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, retail operations, and logistics networks. Buffalo and Rochester see demand tied to manufacturing and distribution, while Albany attracts operations roles connected to state government contractors and healthcare supply chains. Long Island's biotech and pharmaceutical corridor also produces sponsorship activity for operations roles supporting clinical and commercial supply chains.
Are there any state-specific considerations for supply chain operations visa sponsorship in New York?
New York is a prevailing wage state, meaning H-1B employers must pay the higher of the federal or New York State prevailing wage for the specific role and location. New York City roles typically carry higher prevailing wage obligations than upstate positions due to regional wage determinations. The state's strong university pipeline, including programs at Cornell, Columbia, and NYU, means employers are experienced with international graduate hiring in operations and supply chain disciplines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain operations jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
