Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain operations roles in Kansas?
Large Kansas employers with established visa sponsorship programs include Cargill, Koch Industries, Garmin, Spirit AeroSystems, and Hallmark Cards. These companies regularly hire supply chain analysts, logistics coordinators, and operations managers and have HR infrastructure to support H-1B visa and related petitions. Smaller regional distributors and food processing firms sponsor less frequently, so focusing on enterprise-scale employers improves your chances.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain operations roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain operations professionals in Kansas, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or management roles. Candidates with exceptional records in supply chain leadership may also explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documented achievement.
Which cities in Kansas have the most supply chain operations sponsorship jobs?
Wichita leads the state for supply chain sponsorship activity, driven by its aerospace manufacturing base with employers like Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation. Kansas City (the Kansas side, including Overland Park and Lenexa) is the second-strongest market, anchored by logistics, food distribution, and corporate operations centers. Topeka and Salina have a smaller but active presence tied to food processing and agricultural supply chains.
How to find supply chain operations visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is specifically designed for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters supply chain operations roles in Kansas that are open to sponsored candidates. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship availability is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers who have demonstrated willingness to sponsor, saving significant time for candidates focused on Wichita, Kansas City, and other Kansas markets.
Are there any Kansas-specific factors that affect supply chain operations visa sponsorship?
Kansas employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the specific role and location, which varies between Wichita and the Kansas City metro. Kansas State University and the University of Kansas produce supply chain graduates who sometimes enter OPT periods before seeking employer sponsorship, meaning local employers are relatively familiar with the sponsorship process. Aerospace-tied roles in Wichita may also require candidates to meet export control eligibility requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain operations jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
