Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain operations roles in Massachusetts?
Large manufacturers and life sciences companies account for a significant share of supply chain sponsorships in Massachusetts. Employers such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, Raytheon Technologies, Boston Scientific, and Biogen have filed Labor Condition Applications for supply chain and operations titles. Major logistics operators and third-party providers with Massachusetts distribution centers also sponsor international workers in procurement, planning, and operations coordination roles.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain operations roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most commonly sponsored visa for supply chain operations professionals in Massachusetts, particularly for roles in demand planning, procurement analytics, and supply chain engineering that require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those with an employer in a treaty country may explore the TN visa if their role and nationality meet the qualifying criteria.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most supply chain operations sponsorship jobs?
Greater Boston, including Cambridge and Waltham, concentrates the most supply chain sponsorship activity due to the density of life sciences, biotech, and technology employers. Worcester supports manufacturing and distribution operations with steady hiring in supply chain functions. The South Shore and Route 128 corridor are home to defense and aerospace contractors that regularly staff supply chain operations teams with sponsored workers.
How to find supply chain operations visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse supply chain operations roles in Massachusetts without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings across life sciences, manufacturing, logistics, and defense sectors. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also helps match you to employers in Massachusetts who are actively hiring internationally.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for supply chain operations professionals in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements when filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application, and wages in the Greater Boston metro tend to reflect a high-cost labor market. The state's concentration of regulated industries, particularly life sciences and defense, means supply chain roles often require specific technical credentials, which strengthens the specialty occupation case needed for H-1B approval. University programs at MIT and Northeastern also create a pipeline of OPT-eligible candidates that some employers are experienced in transitioning to H-1B status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain operations jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
