Which companies sponsor visas for product architects in Ohio?
Financial services and insurance firms are among the most active sponsors for product architect roles in Ohio. Companies like JPMorgan Chase, Nationwide Insurance, Progressive, and KeyBank have consistent H-1B filing histories for senior technical positions. Large healthcare IT organizations and enterprise software employers based in Columbus and Cleveland also regularly sponsor product architects through established immigration programs.
Which visa types are most common for product architect roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product architects in Ohio, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Candidates with extraordinary ability may pursue the O-1A. Those already working in Ohio may transfer H-1B status to a new sponsoring employer without re-entering the lottery.
Which cities in Ohio have the most product architect sponsorship jobs?
Columbus has the highest concentration of product architect sponsorship opportunities, driven by its large financial services and insurance sector alongside a growing technology presence. Cleveland follows, with healthcare IT and banking employers actively hiring. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, particularly for candidates targeting enterprise software and consumer goods companies with dedicated technology architecture teams.
How to find product architect visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify product architect roles in Ohio where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. You can search by state and role to surface relevant openings at companies in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati that have active H-1B filing histories for senior technical positions.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for product architects pursuing visa sponsorship?
Ohio's concentration of financial services, insurance, and healthcare IT employers creates consistent demand for senior product architects, which supports sponsorship pipelines at large established companies rather than early-stage startups. The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University graduate pipelines also mean employers in Columbus and Cleveland have experience navigating H-1B sponsorship processes for technically specialized roles, which can streamline the process for qualified candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product architect jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
