Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for project managers?
Several large Ohio employers have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for project manager roles. These include Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, Nationwide Insurance, Cardinal Health, and Procter & Gamble. Manufacturing firms in the Akron and Dayton corridors, along with technology services companies based in Columbus, also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for project management positions.
Which visa types are most common for project manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project managers in Ohio, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, business, or information technology. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA. Managers with extraordinary achievement may explore the O-1 visa, though that category carries a high evidentiary bar.
Which Ohio cities have the most project manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Columbus concentrates the largest share of sponsorship activity, driven by its technology, insurance, and logistics sectors. Cleveland follows, anchored by healthcare systems and manufacturing firms. Cincinnati benefits from proximity to Procter & Gamble and a growing professional services sector. Dayton and Akron generate additional volume through aerospace, defense, and polymer manufacturing employers with established international hiring programs.
How to find project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to browse project manager openings in Ohio without sifting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by city, industry, and visa type. Because Ohio's sponsoring employers span healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and tech, using a focused tool like Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to unfiltered general searches.
Are there state-specific considerations for project managers seeking sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B project manager roles are set at the federal level using Department of Labor wage data, but actual figures vary by metropolitan area. Columbus and Cleveland tend to carry higher prevailing wage thresholds than smaller markets. Candidates with degrees from Ohio State, Case Western Reserve, or the University of Cincinnati sometimes find alumni networks useful when identifying employers with existing sponsorship infrastructure.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
