Provides advanced patient-centered healthcare to children and adolescents with both complex acute and chronic mental health conditions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conducts comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards.
- Develops and implements treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders. Monitors and evaluates patients' progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Prescribes pharmacologic agents and provides ongoing medication management and monitoring.
- Provides psychoeducation and counseling to patients and their families. Assists in the education, training, and development of new and existing staff members.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Master of Science degree, required.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENT:
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Ohio, required.
