Which companies in Oklahoma sponsor visas for business operations managers?
Energy companies such as Devon Energy, ONEOK, and Enable Midstream have historically sponsored work visas for operations and management roles. Large healthcare systems like Integris Health and SSM Health Oklahoma also hire business operations managers. American Fidelity Assurance and larger logistics and manufacturing employers in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas have sponsorship track records worth researching through federal LCA disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for business operations manager roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for business operations managers in Oklahoma, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. The L-1A is relevant for managers transferring within a multinational company. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications align with the role's degree requirements under USMCA.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most business operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City accounts for the majority of business operations manager sponsorship activity in the state, driven by its concentration of energy corporations, healthcare networks, and state government contractors. Tulsa is the second-largest market, anchored by ONEOK, Williams Companies, and a growing technology and finance sector. Smaller hiring activity appears in Norman and Stillwater, particularly from university-affiliated organizations and regional healthcare providers.
How to find business operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate lists business operations manager roles in Oklahoma that are open to visa sponsorship, filtered specifically for international candidates. Because not every employer advertises sponsorship willingness upfront, Migrate Mate helps narrow the search to companies with active or historical sponsorship patterns. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered job postings and then separately researching each employer's sponsorship history.
Are there any state-specific or role-specific considerations for business operations managers pursuing sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's economy is heavily tied to energy, which creates cyclical hiring patterns, so sponsorship availability for business operations managers can fluctuate with oil and gas market conditions. Employers must pay the prevailing wage for the relevant occupation and metropolitan area, as certified through the Department of Labor's LCA process. University pipelines at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University also generate a local talent pool, which can affect how actively some employers recruit internationally for this role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business operations manager jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
