Which companies sponsor visas for finance analysts in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's energy sector produces the most consistent finance analyst sponsorship activity. Devon Energy, Williams Companies, ONEOK, and Chesapeake Energy have all filed Labor Condition Applications for finance roles. Beyond energy, Bank of Oklahoma, American Fidelity, and larger healthcare systems in Oklahoma City also appear in sponsorship records. These employers tend to have established HR infrastructure for managing H-1B visa petitions.
Which visa types are most common for finance analyst roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance analysts in Oklahoma, as financial analysis consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while their employer pursues H-1B sponsorship. Some multinational employers in Oklahoma's energy sector also use L-1B visas to transfer analysts with specialized company knowledge.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most finance analyst sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City accounts for the largest share of finance analyst sponsorship activity, driven by corporate headquarters in energy, insurance, and banking. Tulsa is a strong second, particularly for energy sector finance roles tied to pipeline and midstream companies like Williams and ONEOK. Outside these two metros, sponsorship opportunities for finance analysts are limited, so targeting roles in OKC or Tulsa gives international candidates the best prospects.
How to find finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, saving you from applying to positions that won't move forward. For finance analyst roles in Oklahoma, search Migrate Mate and filter by state to surface openings at energy companies, financial institutions, and corporate finance departments that actively sponsor. Pairing that with DOL LCA disclosure data helps confirm which specific Oklahoma employers have sponsored finance roles previously.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for finance analysts in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's finance analyst market is heavily shaped by commodity cycles. When oil and gas prices decline, hiring at energy-sector employers contracts, which can reduce the number of active sponsorship petitions in the state. University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University produce a pipeline of finance graduates, meaning employer competition for entry-level roles is real. International candidates with energy finance specialization, particularly financial modeling for upstream or midstream operations, are better positioned to stand out to Oklahoma sponsors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance analyst jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
