Which companies sponsor visas for finance analysts in Utah?
Several large employers in Utah have established records of sponsoring finance analyst roles. Goldman Sachs maintains a significant Salt Lake City presence with finance and operations teams. Adobe, headquartered in the region, sponsors analysts in its financial planning divisions. Healthcare systems like Intermountain Health and tech-adjacent firms in the Silicon Slopes corridor also regularly file H-1B petitions for finance analyst positions.
Which visa types are most common for finance analyst roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for finance analysts in Utah, as financial analysis consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization often transition to H-1B through Utah employers. The O-1A is an option for analysts with exceptional credentials, though it applies to a much narrower group.
Which cities in Utah have the most finance analyst sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of finance analyst sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and large healthcare employers. South Jordan and Sandy, which host Goldman Sachs and several fintech companies, are notable suburban hubs. Provo and Orem also produce sponsorship opportunities, particularly through technology companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor with internal finance teams.
How to find finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored finance analyst roles and filters jobs by state, so you can search directly for Utah opportunities without sifting through postings that don't offer sponsorship. Because Utah's sponsorship market is concentrated among a smaller set of employers than larger states, using a targeted platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to broad searches that rarely surface sponsorship status upfront.
Are there state-specific factors finance analysts should know about when pursuing sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's DOL prevailing wage determinations for finance analysts are lower than coastal markets, which can work in an employer's favor when meeting H-1B wage requirements. The state's strong university pipeline through the University of Utah and Brigham Young University means local employers are experienced with OPT-to-H-1B transitions. Utah's tech-focused economy also means many finance analyst roles sit inside technology or healthtech companies rather than traditional financial institutions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance analyst jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
