Which companies sponsor visas for business analysts in Oregon?
Intel, Nike, and Cambia Health Solutions are among Oregon's most active visa sponsors for business analyst roles. Technology firms concentrated in the Portland metro area, including companies in the Silicon Forest corridor, have established H-1B visa sponsorship track records. Healthcare and financial services companies also hire sponsored business analysts, particularly those with experience in data analysis, systems requirements, or process improvement.
Which visa types are most common for business analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business analysts in Oregon, provided the role requires a specialized degree in fields like information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related discipline. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery. Canadians and Mexicans working in business analysis may qualify under TN visa status if the role meets the applicable occupational criteria.
Which cities in Oregon have the most business analyst sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of business analyst sponsorship opportunities in Oregon, driven by its concentration of technology, healthcare, and financial services employers. Beaverton and Hillsboro, part of the Silicon Forest corridor, also have significant hiring activity, particularly through Intel and its supplier ecosystem. Salem and Eugene see occasional openings, primarily through state government agencies and university-affiliated organizations.
How to find business analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify business analyst roles in Oregon where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general postings, you can browse opportunities already screened for sponsorship intent. Focusing on Portland-area employers in tech, healthcare, and financial services gives you the strongest starting point for business analyst openings in the state.
Are there any state-specific considerations for business analysts seeking sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon follows federal prevailing wage requirements, so employers sponsoring H-1B business analysts must pay wages that meet Department of Labor standards for the Portland or relevant metropolitan area. Oregon's university system, including Oregon State University and Portland State University, creates a pipeline of internationally educated graduates who often need sponsorship. The state has no additional licensing requirements specific to business analyst roles, but domain experience in Oregon's dominant industries, such as semiconductor manufacturing, sportswear, or healthcare, strengthens applications.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
