Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for business development analysts?
Portland-based employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for business development and strategy roles include Nike, Intel, Adidas America, and Daimler Trucks North America. Mid-sized SaaS and tech firms headquartered in Portland, such as Act-On Software and Puppet, have also filed LCAs for business development positions. Sponsorship activity is most concentrated among established technology and multinational consumer brands with dedicated international hiring infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for business development analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa category for business development analyst positions in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field. International professionals from Australia may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa category using the Economist or Management Consultant designations, depending on the specific role duties.
Which cities in Oregon have the most business development analyst sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of business development analyst sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of technology companies, corporate headquarters, and professional services firms. Beaverton and Hillsboro, which form part of the Portland metro area, also generate sponsorship roles through major employers like Nike and Intel. Eugene has a smaller but growing presence tied to the University of Oregon's business and technology commercialization ecosystem.
How to find business development analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate lists business development analyst roles in Oregon filtered specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship, saving you the time of screening out employers who won't sponsor. You can browse current openings, filter by location within Oregon, and identify which employers have active sponsorship histories. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by company size and sector, using a targeted platform like Migrate Mate is more efficient than searching general job boards.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for business development analysts in Oregon?
Oregon does not have state-level immigration programs, so federal prevailing wage requirements under the Department of Labor's wage determinations govern H-1B filings for business development analyst roles here. The Portland metro area falls under wage determinations that reflect its competitive technology market, which employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application. Oregon's strong ties to Pacific Rim trade also mean some employers actively recruit internationally for analysts with relevant regional market expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
