Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for data analytics engineers?
Oregon's largest visa sponsors for data and analytics roles include Intel, Nike, Precision Castparts, and Daimler Trucks North America. Portland-area technology firms and several healthcare analytics companies such as Providence Health and OHSU also have documented sponsorship histories. Larger enterprises with established HR and legal infrastructure are generally the most consistent sponsors for data analytics engineer positions.
Which visa types are most common for data analytics engineer roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data analytics engineers in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may be eligible for the E-3 visa. Those with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN category. L-1B transfers are also used by multinational employers moving specialized staff to Oregon offices.
Which cities in Oregon have the most data analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the largest share of data analytics engineer sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of technology, healthcare, and retail analytics employers. The Beaverton-Hillsboro corridor is particularly active due to Intel's large campus and associated supplier ecosystem. Eugene has a smaller but growing presence, partly connected to the University of Oregon and regional tech hiring.
How to find data analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse data analytics engineer roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by location and role type to focus on Oregon employers who have sponsored work visas for data analytics engineers previously, saving significant time compared to unfiltered job searching.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for data analytics engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan area, which reflects the region's competitive tech hiring market. Oregon State University and the University of Oregon produce a consistent pipeline of analytics talent, so employers in college towns like Corvallis and Eugene may be more familiar with OPT-to-sponsorship transitions. Intel's Hillsboro campus is one of the state's most active H-1B filers and a significant entry point for data engineering careers in Oregon.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analytics engineer jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
