Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for procurement managers?
Intel is one of Oregon's most active visa sponsors for procurement and supply chain roles, given its large semiconductor manufacturing operations in Hillsboro. Nike, headquartered in Beaverton, regularly hires procurement managers across global sourcing and materials. Healthcare systems like Providence Health and Oregon Health & Science University also sponsor procurement talent, particularly those with healthcare supply chain or medical device procurement experience.
Which visa types are most commonly used for procurement manager roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for procurement managers in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. Candidates already holding O-1 or L-1 status through a multinational employer may also be considered.
How to find procurement manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Oregon employers actively open to sponsoring procurement managers rather than sorting through roles that don't address immigration support. Searching Migrate Mate for procurement manager positions in Oregon surfaces opportunities across Portland, Hillsboro, and Beaverton, where supply chain hiring is most active in tech, manufacturing, and healthcare.
Which cities in Oregon have the most procurement manager sponsorship jobs?
Portland is the primary hiring center for procurement managers in Oregon, supported by its concentration of healthcare systems, technology firms, and logistics operations. Hillsboro, home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, generates consistent demand for semiconductor-focused procurement talent. Beaverton, where Nike is headquartered, is another active market for procurement professionals with consumer goods or global sourcing backgrounds.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for procurement managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon employers sponsoring H-1B procurement managers must pay prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Labor for the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan area, which is the wage benchmark most Oregon employers reference. Oregon's semiconductor and athletic goods industries create specialized demand for procurement managers with technical sourcing backgrounds, which can strengthen a visa petition by demonstrating that the role requires industry-specific expertise beyond a generalist qualification.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement manager jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
