Which companies sponsor visas for consultants in Pennsylvania?
Large consulting firms with Pennsylvania offices, including Deloitte, PwC, EY, Accenture, and KPMG, sponsor visas for consultant roles on a regular basis. Technology-focused consultancies such as Infosys and Wipro also file H-1B petitions for Pennsylvania-based positions. Healthcare consulting firms tied to systems like Jefferson Health and UPMC have also appeared in federal labor condition application disclosures for consultant-level roles.
Which visa types are most common for consultant roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa for consultant roles in Pennsylvania, particularly for management, IT, and strategy consultants whose positions require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in specific consulting categories. Candidates already holding L-1 intracompany transfer visas through multinational firms sometimes transition into consulting roles at Pennsylvania offices without needing a new petition.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most consultant sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia generates the highest volume of sponsored consultant positions in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of Big Four offices, financial services firms, and major health systems. Pittsburgh is a secondary hub, with demand tied to technology, energy, and Carnegie Mellon University-connected firms. King of Prussia and the broader Philadelphia suburbs also host regional consulting offices that regularly file labor condition applications for H-1B workers.
How to find consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate lets you filter consultant roles specifically by visa sponsorship status and state, making Pennsylvania-based openings straightforward to identify without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates roles from employers with documented sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful for consultant candidates navigating H-1B timelines. Searching by role type within Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate surfaces both large firm postings and mid-size consultancies that actively petition for international hires.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific considerations for consultant visa sponsorship?
Pennsylvania's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B consultant roles are benchmarked against metropolitan areas, so positions in Philadelphia typically carry higher wage obligations than those in smaller markets like Allentown or Harrisburg. Employers filing labor condition applications must attest to meeting these area-specific wage levels. Pennsylvania also has a strong university pipeline through Penn, Drexel, Carnegie Mellon, and Temple, meaning many consulting sponsors are familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions for recent graduates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consultant jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
