Which companies sponsor visas for technical product managers in South Carolina?
Blackbaud and Benefitfocus, both headquartered in Charleston, have filed H-1B applications for technical product and software management roles. Defense and aerospace contractors near Charleston and Greenville, including Boeing and Lockheed Martin, also sponsor technical roles. Financial technology firms operating in the Columbia and Greenville corridors represent another consistent source of H-1B sponsorship for technical product managers in the state.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical product managers in South Carolina, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, while Canadian and Mexican nationals may use the TN visa under the USMCA, provided the role fits the qualifying occupation list.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search technical product manager roles in South Carolina without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces openings from employers in Charleston, Greenville, and Columbia who have a documented history of H-1B and other visa filings, making it a practical starting point for international candidates targeting this state.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most technical product manager sponsorship jobs?
Charleston leads for technical product manager sponsorship activity, driven by fintech and SaaS companies like Blackbaud and Benefitfocus alongside a growing defense technology presence. Greenville has a manufacturing and advanced technology base, including automotive and aerospace employers, that occasionally hires for technical product roles. Columbia, as the state capital and home to the University of South Carolina, also generates demand from government technology contractors.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical product managers seeking visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's technical product manager hiring is concentrated in defense technology, financial software, and advanced manufacturing, which means employers often prioritize candidates with domain expertise in those sectors alongside standard product management skills. The state lacks a major standalone tech hub comparable to Atlanta or Raleigh, so international candidates typically target employers directly rather than relying on a dense startup ecosystem. University of South Carolina and Clemson University provide some employer pipeline activity worth monitoring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
