Which companies sponsor visas for technical product managers in Florida?
Several large technology and enterprise software employers in Florida have established H-1B visa sponsorship patterns for technical product managers. UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) in Weston, Chewy in Dania Beach, and Citrix in Fort Lauderdale have all appeared in Department of Labor LCA filings for product-related roles. Miami-based fintech firms and defense contractors in the Orlando and Melbourne corridors also sponsor technical product managers with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical product managers in Florida, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. Candidates already on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT can work while an H-1B petition is pending. L-1B visas apply when a candidate transfers intracompany from an overseas office in a specialized knowledge capacity.
Which cities in Florida have the most technical product manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for technical product manager sponsorship activity, driven by its fintech, healthtech, and Latin American tech hub positioning. Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton follow closely given the enterprise software companies headquartered there. Tampa has seen growing demand from SaaS and cybersecurity firms, and Orlando's presence of simulation, defense, and hospitality technology companies adds a distinct concentration of technical product roles.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search technical product manager roles in Florida without manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces positions from companies with active H-1B filing histories, which is particularly useful in Florida where sponsorship patterns vary significantly between Miami's startup ecosystem and the enterprise tech employers concentrated in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for technical product managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from states like California or New York at similar gross compensation. The state's product management talent pool draws heavily from the University of Florida, University of Miami, and University of Central Florida, creating competition from domestic graduates. Employers in Florida's defense and simulation sectors may also require security clearance eligibility, which can complicate sponsorship for some visa holders.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
