Which companies sponsor visas for warehouse jobs in South Carolina?
Amazon operates large fulfillment centers in Cayce and Lexington that have sponsored work visas for operations roles. BMW's Spartanburg plant and its network of parts suppliers also hire internationally for logistics and warehouse positions. Third-party logistics providers such as DHL and Geodis have facilities in the Greenville-Spartanburg corridor and have sponsored H-1B and H-2B visas depending on the role's qualification requirements.
Which visa types are most common for warehouse roles in South Carolina?
The H-2B visa covers temporary, nonagricultural warehouse and distribution roles where employers can demonstrate a seasonal or peak-demand need. For supervisory, engineering, or supply chain management positions within warehouse operations, employers may pursue H-1B sponsorship if the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. General labor positions rarely qualify for H-1B sponsorship because they typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most warehouse sponsorship jobs?
Greenville and Spartanburg lead the state due to BMW's manufacturing presence and the dense network of automotive suppliers and third-party logistics providers in the Upstate region. Columbia sees consistent hiring from Amazon and regional distribution centers along I-20 and I-26. Charleston's port activity supports warehouse and freight operations in North Charleston and Summerville, making it a secondary hub for logistics employment with some sponsorship activity.
How to find warehouse visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can search warehouse and distribution roles in South Carolina without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Concentrate your search on the Upstate region around Greenville and Spartanburg, and also run searches for Columbia and Charleston. Migrate Mate lists openings from large fulfillment operators, automotive logistics providers, and port-adjacent distribution companies active in the state.
Are there state-specific factors that affect warehouse visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's right-to-work status and favorable business environment have attracted significant foreign direct investment, particularly from German and BMW-affiliated companies in the Upstate. This has increased employer familiarity with international hiring in the region. Sponsored warehouse roles tied to manufacturing support, inventory management, or supply chain coordination tend to have stronger sponsorship cases than general picker or packer positions, which are less likely to meet specialty occupation requirements for H-1B purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored warehouse jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
