Which companies in Tennessee sponsor visas for finance analysts?
Several large Tennessee employers have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for finance analyst roles. HCA Healthcare in Nashville regularly sponsors finance and financial planning positions. FedEx in Memphis hires finance analysts across corporate finance and treasury functions. Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville and Bridgestone Americas in Nashville have also appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for finance analyst sponsorships.
Which visa types are most common for finance analyst roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance analysts in Tennessee, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may use the E-3 visa instead. Those with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN visa category, which includes economists and accountants among its eligible occupations.
How to find finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters finance analyst jobs specifically by visa sponsorship willingness and state, making it more targeted than general job searches. On Migrate Mate, you can browse Tennessee-specific listings for finance analyst roles where employers have indicated sponsorship availability. This is especially useful for narrowing down to Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville employers without manually reviewing hundreds of postings.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most finance analyst sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of finance analyst sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare companies, private equity firms, and corporate headquarters. Memphis follows due to its logistics and distribution sector, anchored by FedEx and AutoZone. Knoxville sees activity from Tennessee Valley Authority and University of Tennessee-affiliated employers, particularly in public finance and utilities.
Are there any Tennessee-specific factors finance analysts should know before pursuing sponsorship?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects compensation benchmarking relative to other states but does not change federal prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B or E-3 visa. Employers must still meet Department of Labor wage level standards for the relevant metropolitan area. Nashville and Memphis have distinct prevailing wage levels, so a finance analyst role in Nashville will carry a different wage floor than the same title in a smaller Tennessee market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance analyst jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
