Which companies sponsor visas for finance business partners in Tennessee?
Nashville-based employers are the most active sponsors for finance business partner roles in Tennessee. HCA Healthcare, Asurion, Dollar General, and Bridgestone Americas have all filed Labor Condition Applications for finance and FP&A positions. Memphis draws sponsorship activity from FedEx and AutoZone, while Unum Group sponsors finance roles out of Chattanooga. Sponsorship availability varies by hiring cycle and internal headcount needs.
Which visa types are most common for finance business partner roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for finance business partners in Tennessee, as these roles typically require at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics and qualify as specialty occupations. Candidates with a master's degree may benefit from the advanced degree exemption during the H-1B lottery. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying financial analyst roles under the USMCA.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most finance business partner sponsorship jobs?
Nashville is by far the leading city for finance business partner sponsorship in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare, insurance, and corporate headquarters. Memphis is second, with demand anchored by logistics and retail finance. Chattanooga has a smaller but active market through insurance and manufacturing employers. Knoxville sees periodic openings, particularly tied to the University of Tennessee system and regional corporate offices.
How to find finance business partner visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters finance business partner roles by visa sponsorship status, so you can search specifically for Tennessee positions where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. This saves time compared to applying broadly and asking about sponsorship later. Focus your search on Nashville and Memphis first, then expand to Chattanooga and Knoxville. Filtering by industry, such as healthcare or logistics, can help match your background to the right employers.
Are there any state-specific considerations for finance business partners seeking sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects how employers structure total compensation and prevailing wage benchmarks relative to other states. Finance business partner roles in Tennessee are most concentrated in healthcare and logistics, so candidates with experience in those sectors tend to have stronger applications. Nashville's growth as a corporate hub has also increased competition for sponsorship slots, making early engagement with target employers important.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance business partner jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
