Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for finance business partners?
Oregon's largest visa sponsors for finance roles include Nike and Adidas, both headquartered in the Portland metro area, along with Intel, which has a major campus in Hillsboro. Healthcare organizations such as Oregon Health & Science University and Providence Health also sponsor finance business partners. Smaller technology and semiconductor companies in the Portland corridor have filed Labor Condition Applications for these roles as well.
Which visa types are most common for finance business partner roles in Oregon?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for finance business partners in Oregon, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational experience may also qualify for L-1B or L-1A classification if transferring within the same company. Australian citizens have access to the E-3 visa as an additional pathway for qualifying finance roles.
Which cities in Oregon have the most finance business partner sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of finance business partner sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters and regional offices in technology, retail, and healthcare. Hillsboro, just west of Portland, is a secondary hub due to Intel's significant local presence. Salem and Eugene have more limited sponsorship activity, primarily through state government, university systems, and regional healthcare employers.
How to find finance business partner visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and you can filter directly for finance business partner roles in Oregon. The platform surfaces employers with active sponsorship histories, so you're not sifting through postings from companies unlikely to file an H-1B or E-3 visa petition. Pairing Migrate Mate with research into Oregon's major corporate employers in the Portland metro area gives you the most targeted approach.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for finance business partner visa sponsorship?
Oregon does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage standards for the Portland or Hillsboro metropolitan areas, which are calculated separately from national figures. Oregon's strong university pipeline, including University of Oregon and Portland State University, means some employers are already familiar with sponsoring international graduates into finance roles, which can make the process more straightforward at those organizations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance business partner jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
