Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for finance business partners?
Milwaukee-headquartered companies are the most active sponsors for finance business partner roles in Wisconsin. Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, Rockwell Automation, and Harley-Davidson have all filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for finance and FP&A positions in recent years. In Madison, American Family Insurance and Epic Systems occasionally sponsor finance professionals. Sponsorship frequency varies by hiring cycle and role availability, so checking LCA disclosure data gives the clearest picture of recent activity.
Which visa types are most common for finance business partner roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for finance business partners in Wisconsin. These roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1 transfers from multinational employers or TN status (for Canadian and Mexican nationals) also appear in Wisconsin finance hiring. The O-1 is less common but available for candidates with demonstrable distinguished achievement in finance.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most finance business partner sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the majority of finance business partner sponsorship activity in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 and large regional employers in financial services, manufacturing, and technology. Madison is a secondary market with growth in insurance and health-sector finance roles. Green Bay and Waukesha see occasional openings tied to regional manufacturing and distribution companies, though sponsorship in those markets is less frequent than in Milwaukee or Madison.
How to find finance business partner visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles, including finance business partner positions in Wisconsin. You can filter by state and role type to surface employers with active sponsorship history. Because finance business partner is a mid-to-senior level role, prioritizing employers with established finance functions in Milwaukee and Madison, then confirming their H-1B filing history through DOL disclosure data, helps narrow your search to realistic opportunities.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for finance business partner visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's finance business partner market skews toward large, established employers rather than startups, which generally means more structured HR processes and greater familiarity with H-1B sponsorship procedures. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply regardless of state, but Wisconsin's cost of living affects how those wages compare locally. Candidates from UW-Madison's MBA and finance programs represent a notable pipeline into Wisconsin finance roles, so employer university relationships are worth researching when targeting specific companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance business partner jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
