Which technology companies in Tennessee sponsor Green Card visas?
Several major employers in Tennessee have established records of sponsoring Green Cards for technology workers. Nashville-based HCA Healthcare regularly sponsors software engineers and IT professionals. Bridgestone Americas, also headquartered in Nashville, files Green Card petitions for technology roles. Amazon's fulfillment and corporate operations in the state, along with Oracle and Asurion, are among the employers with documented sponsorship activity in Tennessee's technology sector.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most technology Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Nashville is Tennessee's primary hub for technology Green Card sponsorship, driven by its concentration of healthcare technology, fintech, and enterprise software companies. Knoxville has a growing tech presence connected to the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which attracts research and engineering roles. Memphis contributes through logistics technology and supply chain software companies, though Nashville accounts for the largest share of technology sponsorship activity statewide.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Tennessee?
Roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field are the strongest candidates for employer-sponsored Green Cards. Software engineers, data engineers, cybersecurity analysts, cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and IT managers are among the positions Tennessee employers most frequently sponsor. Healthcare IT roles are particularly prominent given Nashville's status as a national healthcare industry center, with companies seeking professionals in EHR systems, health data analytics, and clinical software development.
How do I find technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international professionals searching for visa-sponsored roles, including technology Green Card jobs in Tennessee. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface employers actively sponsoring permanent residence for tech workers. This is more efficient than broad job searches because Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on positions where sponsorship is part of the offer, saving you time screening out roles that won't support your immigration goals.
Are there any state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Tennessee's technology sector?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which can affect how employers structure compensation packages for sponsored workers, though this does not directly impact the Green Card process itself. Tennessee's lower cost of living compared to coastal tech markets means prevailing wage requirements under the PERM labor certification process may reflect regional wage levels. Employers in Nashville's healthcare technology corridor are generally experienced with employment-based immigration, making them more familiar with the PERM and I-140 petition process than smaller regional employers.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card technology jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
