Which companies sponsor visas for support leads in Tennessee?
Nashville-based employers are among the most active sponsors for support lead roles in Tennessee. HCA Healthcare, Asurion, and Bridgestone have histories of H-1B visa sponsorship for technical and operational support positions. In Memphis, FedEx and International Paper hire support leads in logistics and operations contexts. Mid-size SaaS and healthtech companies based in the Nashville tech corridor also sponsor for customer success and support leadership roles.
Which visa types are most common for support lead roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for support lead roles in Tennessee, particularly when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, business, or engineering. L-1 visas apply when a candidate is transferring from an overseas office of a Tennessee-based multinational. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories where the support lead role meets the specialty occupation criteria.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most support lead sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of support lead sponsorship opportunities in Tennessee, driven by its healthcare, insurance, and technology sectors. The city's growing startup ecosystem adds demand for customer success and technical support leadership. Memphis contributes sponsorship activity through logistics, supply chain, and financial services employers. Smaller hiring markets include Knoxville, where university-affiliated healthcare systems and manufacturing firms occasionally post sponsored support lead positions.
How to find support lead visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter support lead jobs by state, including Tennessee. Rather than sifting through general job boards where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship activity. Filtering by Tennessee gives you a focused list of support lead openings where sponsorship is part of the hiring consideration, saving significant research time.
Are there any state-specific considerations for support lead visa sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage calculations employers use when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B petitions. Support lead roles that involve managing technical teams or customer success operations are more likely to meet specialty occupation requirements than generalist support roles. Nashville's concentration of healthcare IT employers means many support lead positions have a technical or regulated-industry component that strengthens the specialty occupation case for sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored support lead jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
