Which companies in Tennessee sponsor visas for technical product managers?
Healthcare technology is the strongest sector for sponsored technical product manager roles in Tennessee. Companies like HCA Healthcare, Change Healthcare, and Asurion in Nashville have active technical product teams and documented H-1B sponsorship histories. Larger enterprises in Memphis's financial services sector and Chattanooga's logistics technology space also sponsor, though at lower volume than the Nashville healthcare corridor.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical product managers in Tennessee. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Some candidates transition from F-1 OPT, particularly those coming through Vanderbilt University or Tennessee's other major research programs. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals meeting the qualifying criteria.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most technical product manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville concentrates the majority of technical product manager sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its dense healthcare IT sector. Memphis contributes roles in financial technology and logistics platforms. Chattanooga has a smaller but developing tech presence, with companies focused on electric vehicles and freight logistics occasionally hiring technical product managers. Knoxville sees occasional sponsorship through university-connected technology firms.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters technical product manager roles specifically to employers who sponsor visas, saving you from manually screening listings that offer no sponsorship path. You can filter by Tennessee to see active openings in Nashville, Memphis, and other cities. Because technical product manager is a defined specialty occupation, the listings on Migrate Mate reflect roles where H-1B sponsorship is a realistic part of the hiring process.
Are there any state-specific considerations for technical product managers seeking sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change federal visa requirements. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must still file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee generate a pipeline of OPT candidates into Tennessee's technology sector, which means some employers in the state have established sponsorship processes in place.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
