Which companies in Connecticut sponsor visas for technical product managers?
Financial services and insurance technology companies are among the most active sponsors for technical product managers in Connecticut. Firms such as Synchrony Financial, Cigna, and Travelers have filed Labor Condition Applications for technical product management roles. Global technology consultancies operating out of Stamford and Hartford, including Infosys and Cognizant, also regularly sponsor this role category through the H-1B visa program.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in Connecticut?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical product managers in Connecticut, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the engineer or computer systems analyst categories, depending on their specific responsibilities.
Which cities in Connecticut have the most technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Stamford generates the highest concentration of technical product manager sponsorship activity in Connecticut, driven by its dense cluster of financial technology and enterprise software companies. Hartford is the second most active city, anchored by major insurance and health technology employers. New Haven also sees demand, particularly from companies connected to Yale University's technology and healthcare research ecosystem.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Connecticut?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles offering visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search for technical product manager positions in Connecticut without sifting through postings that don't support work authorization. Because technical product manager is a competitive role, filtering by state and sponsorship status together on Migrate Mate helps you focus outreach on employers already willing to sponsor in Connecticut.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical product managers seeking sponsorship in Connecticut?
Connecticut employers sponsoring H-1B technical product managers must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the role and location, which reflects the concentration of high-cost financial and insurance sector employers in Fairfield and Hartford counties. UConn and Yale produce engineering and computer science graduates who enter Connecticut's talent pipeline, meaning employers in the state are familiar with OPT and sponsorship processes, which can work in international candidates' favor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Connecticut?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
