Which companies in Oklahoma sponsor visas for technical product managers?
Energy companies with significant technology divisions, including Devon Energy and ONEOK in Oklahoma City, have sponsored technical roles. Aerospace and defense contractors operating near Tulsa, such as American Airlines Technology and Spirit AeroSystems, also have sponsorship histories. Financial technology firms and healthcare IT companies in both metro areas round out the employer pool for technical product managers seeking sponsorship in Oklahoma.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for technical product managers in Oklahoma, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. L-1B visas apply when a multinational employer transfers a technical product manager with specialized knowledge. O-1 visas are an option for candidates with demonstrable extraordinary achievement in product or technology.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most technical product manager sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City accounts for the majority of technical product manager sponsorship activity in the state, driven by its concentration of energy technology, fintech, and healthcare IT employers. Tulsa is the second most active market, anchored by aerospace, manufacturing technology, and logistics companies. Norman and Stillwater occasionally generate opportunities through university-affiliated technology startups and research commercialization efforts, though at lower volume than the two major metros.

Are there state-specific considerations for technical product managers pursuing sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B technical product manager roles are determined by the Department of Labor based on the Oklahoma City or Tulsa metropolitan statistical areas, which generally reflect lower wage levels than coastal tech hubs. This can make Oklahoma-based sponsorships more accessible for employers managing labor condition application costs. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University also produce engineering and computer science graduates who form part of the local technical talent pipeline, which some employers factor into their sponsorship decisions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
