Which companies sponsor visas for human resources associates in Texas?
Large Texas-based employers with active HR teams and documented H-1B sponsorship histories include ExxonMobil and Chevron Phillips in Houston, American Airlines and AT&T in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Dell Technologies and Apple in Austin, and major healthcare systems like HCA Healthcare and Texas Medical Center affiliates. These organizations have dedicated immigration support processes and regularly file Labor Condition Applications for HR roles.
Which visa types are most common for human resources associate roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most commonly sponsored visa for human resources associates in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Some candidates enter through OPT or STEM OPT extensions before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. Candidates with relevant national backgrounds may also explore TN status under the USMCA for certain HR classifications.
Which cities in Texas have the most human resources associate sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads in volume, given its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, financial services firms, and large healthcare networks. Houston is a strong market driven by energy, petrochemical, and port-related industries that maintain large global workforces. Austin has grown significantly as a tech hub, with companies like Tesla, Oracle, and Apple expanding HR teams there. San Antonio also has steady demand through USAA and regional healthcare employers.
How to find human resources associate visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters human resources associate roles in Texas by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you time you'd otherwise spend screening employers manually. Search by city, industry, or visa type to find roles where employers have a demonstrated history of sponsoring international candidates. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also connects you with Texas-specific HR opportunities as they're posted.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors to know about HR associate sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations differently than in high-tax states, though Department of Labor wage determinations still apply for LCA filings. Texas also has a strong university pipeline through UT Austin, Texas A&M, and University of Houston, meaning many HR associate candidates enter sponsorship pathways through OPT. Houston and Dallas are designated H-1B-dense metro areas, so employer familiarity with the process tends to be higher than in smaller markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources associate jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
