Which companies sponsor visas for insurance collectors in Texas?
Large national insurers with substantial Texas operations are the most active sponsors for insurance collector roles. USAA, headquartered in San Antonio, is among the largest employers in this category. Allstate, Farmers Insurance, and State Farm also maintain regional offices across Dallas, Houston, and Austin. Smaller regional carriers and third-party collections agencies occasionally sponsor as well, though less frequently than major carriers.
Which visa types are most common for insurance collector roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for insurance collector roles classified as specialty occupations, typically requiring a degree in finance, business, or a related field. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA if the role qualifies. Some employers also support EB-3 green card sponsorship for experienced candidates. Eligibility depends on the employer's determination of whether the specific role meets specialty occupation standards.
How to find insurance collector visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters insurance collector roles in Texas by visa sponsorship status, saving you from manually screening hundreds of postings. You can browse active listings from Texas-based employers who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas. Filtering by city, visa type, and role within Migrate Mate helps narrow results to positions that match your qualifications and immigration situation.
Which cities in Texas have the most insurance collector sponsorship jobs?
San Antonio leads due to USAA's large headquarters presence there. Dallas and its suburbs, particularly Irving and Plano, host regional offices for multiple national carriers and financial services firms. Houston is another active market given its size and concentration of finance and insurance sector employers. Austin has a smaller but growing share of these roles tied to its expanding financial technology and insurance startup activity.
Are there state-specific considerations for insurance collector roles in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications. The Texas Department of Insurance regulates the industry heavily, so employers tend to prefer candidates with verifiable credentials and compliance backgrounds. Texas's large uninsured population and active insurance market create steady demand for collections roles. Candidates with bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, have an advantage given the state's demographics.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored insurance collector jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
