Search Operations Manager Jobs in TexasOperations Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for operations managers in Texas?
Large employers with significant Texas operations are the most consistent sponsors. Amazon has major fulfillment and logistics centers across the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston metro areas. ExxonMobil, Chevron, and other energy companies sponsor operations roles in Houston. Dell Technologies and Apple sponsor operations managers in the Austin area. Healthcare systems like HCA Healthcare and UTMD Anderson Cancer Center also sponsor regularly.
Which visa types are most common for operations manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for operations managers in Texas, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business administration. Candidates already holding L-1A status through a multinational employer are another common group, as the L-1A is specifically designed for managers transferring within the same company.
Which cities in Texas have the most operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads due to its concentration of energy, petrochemical, and logistics companies, with a large number of multinational employers that regularly petition for H-1B and L-1 visa workers. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, anchored by supply chain, finance, and tech operations. Austin has grown significantly as a tech operations hub. San Antonio has a smaller but steady market driven by healthcare and manufacturing.
How to find operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search operations manager roles in Texas without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform covers employers across Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin, and is built for job seekers who need confirmed sponsorship rather than guessing which postings might offer it.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for operations manager sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation packages relative to prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program. The state's heavy concentration of energy and logistics industries means many sponsoring employers are large multinationals comfortable with the H-1B and L-1 process. Texas A&M, UT Austin, and Rice University also generate strong pipelines of international candidates into operations roles, meaning employers in the state are generally familiar with sponsorship requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
