Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for clinical support specialists?
Intermountain Health is the largest employer of clinical support specialists in Utah and has an established international hiring process. University of Utah Health, SCL Health, and HCA Healthcare's Salt Lake City facilities also have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for clinical and healthcare support roles. Smaller specialty clinics and health tech companies headquartered in Silicon Slopes have additionally sponsored these positions for qualified international candidates.
Which visa types are most common for clinical support specialist roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for clinical support specialists in Utah, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as health sciences, biology, or a related discipline. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose background aligns with eligible occupational categories. Some research-affiliated positions at University of Utah Health may also support J-1 visa exchange visitor status.
Which cities in Utah have the most clinical support specialist sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of clinical support specialist sponsorship opportunities in Utah, driven by the concentration of Intermountain Health and University of Utah Health campuses. Provo and Orem see demand from health systems serving Utah County, while St. George is an emerging market as southern Utah's population and healthcare infrastructure expand. Murray and Ogden also have active hiring from regional hospital networks.
How to find clinical support specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find clinical support specialist roles in Utah without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by role type and state to surface active openings at Intermountain Health, University of Utah Health, and other Utah employers with verified sponsorship histories, saving significant time compared to broad job searches.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for clinical support specialists seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements apply to H-1B petitions, meaning employers must certify that the offered compensation meets Department of Labor wage levels for the Salt Lake City or relevant metro area. University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce a steady pipeline of domestic clinical graduates, so international candidates benefit from highlighting specialized experience or certifications that differentiate them. Utah's concentrated health system consolidation also means that landing a role with Intermountain Health can open doors to multiple facilities statewide.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical support specialist jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
