Which technology companies in Utah sponsor Green Card visas?
Several well-known technology employers in Utah have histories of filing Green Card sponsorship petitions, including Adobe, Qualtrics, Domo, Instructure, and Pluralsight. Large enterprise software firms and SaaS companies concentrated along the Silicon Slopes corridor in Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo are among the most active sponsors. Multinational technology corporations with Utah offices, such as Microsoft and Amazon, also file regularly.
Which cities in Utah have the most technology Green Card sponsorship jobs?
The majority of technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Utah are concentrated in three cities: Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo. Lehi sits at the heart of the Silicon Slopes tech corridor and hosts numerous SaaS and software companies. Salt Lake City offers a broader mix of enterprise technology and financial technology employers, while Provo benefits from proximity to Brigham Young University and a dense startup ecosystem.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Utah?
Roles that most commonly appear in Green Card sponsorship filings within Utah's technology sector include software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, DevOps and cloud infrastructure engineers, product managers with technical backgrounds, and cybersecurity specialists. These positions generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, which supports the specialty occupation classification required for employment-based Green Card categories such as EB-2 and EB-3.
How do I find technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored roles, including technology Green Card sponsorship jobs in Utah. You can filter by visa type and state to surface positions from Utah employers who are actively willing to sponsor. Because sponsorship willingness is often not disclosed on general job boards, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces this information directly saves significant research time.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Utah's technology sector?
Utah does not impose state-level immigration requirements beyond federal law, so Green Card sponsorship in Utah follows the standard federal process through USCIS. However, Utah's technology sector is heavily weighted toward SaaS and enterprise software, which means most sponsoring employers file under EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories requiring PERM labor certification. The relatively lower cost of operations in Utah compared to San Francisco or Seattle can make employers more willing to absorb the legal and filing costs associated with sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card technology jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
