Tips for Finding H-1B1 Chile Sponsorship Jobs in Utah
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires your Chilean degree to directly relate to the specific role, not just to a broad field. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation's typical education requirements before approaching Utah employers, so your credentials align with what adjudicators expect.
Target Silicon Slopes employers filing LCAs actively
Companies in Lehi, Draper, and Provo's technology corridor regularly file Labor Condition Applications with DOL. Search OFLC Wage Search by Utah ZIP codes to identify which employers have certified LCAs in your occupation, giving you a concrete shortlist of sponsors.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified H-1B1 Chile sponsors
Migrate Mate surfaces employers with confirmed H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history in Utah, so you're not guessing which companies will sponsor. Filter by industry and metro area to focus your applications on Salt Lake City, Provo, or Ogden employers who have already navigated the process.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timelines
DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days, but your employer still needs time to prepare the certified LCA before your visa application. Build at least three weeks into your proposed start date to avoid rushing the consular appointment in Santiago or in the U.S.

Which industries in Utah sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Technology is the dominant H-1B1 Chile sponsoring industry in Utah, driven by the Silicon Slopes cluster in Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo. Software development, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure roles generate consistent LCA filings. Biotech and medical device companies along the Wasatch Front are a secondary concentration, followed by financial services and enterprise software firms headquartered in Salt Lake City.
Which cities in Utah have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City holds the largest share of H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Utah, with a dense concentration of tech headquarters, financial firms, and healthcare employers. Lehi and Provo, which form the core of Silicon Slopes, are close behind given the volume of software and SaaS companies based there. Ogden and St. George have smaller but growing employer bases worth monitoring.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Utah?
Roles must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Utah, qualifying roles cluster in software engineering, data science, financial analysis, and biomedical research. Consulting, product management, and network architecture positions also qualify regularly, provided the job description clearly ties the duties to a specific academic discipline.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is the most direct starting point: it filters job listings by verified H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history, letting you identify Utah employers who have already sponsored the visa type rather than cold-approaching companies unfamiliar with the process. You can also cross-reference OFLC Wage Search for recent LCA certifications in your occupation and Utah metro area to build a targeted employer list.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
