Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Utah?
Utah's investment management employers with documented H-1B1 visa or related specialty occupation sponsorship history include large national firms with Salt Lake City offices, such as Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Investments, and Edward Jones, alongside regional asset managers and wealth advisory firms. Sponsorship activity varies by firm and role, so reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application filings through OFLC is the most reliable way to verify which employers have filed for investment management positions.
Which cities in Utah have the most investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship opportunities in Utah, given its concentration of financial services firms, corporate headquarters, and regional offices. South Jordan and Sandy also host financial operations centers for several national firms. Provo and Lehi have a smaller but growing presence tied to fintech and investment technology companies that occasionally recruit for specialty occupation finance roles.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, economics, accounting, or mathematics. Common qualifying positions include portfolio analyst, research analyst, quantitative analyst, fund accountant, financial advisor, and risk management specialist. Roles that primarily involve sales, general client service, or administrative functions without requiring specialized theoretical knowledge are less likely to meet the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidance.
How do I find investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is specifically designed to surface investment management jobs in Utah where employers have a verified H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history, saving you from applying to firms that won't support your visa. You can filter by industry, state, and visa type to see which Salt Lake City and broader Utah firms have filed Labor Condition Applications for investment management roles, giving you a targeted list of realistic opportunities before you apply.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Utah's investment management sector?
Utah does not impose additional state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B1 visa rules, but investment management employers in the state must comply with DOL prevailing wage obligations for the Salt Lake City or relevant metropolitan area wage tier. Roles at SEC-registered investment advisers or broker-dealers may also require FINRA licensing, and employers will typically assess whether licensing requirements affect the specialty occupation classification before initiating sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile investment management jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
