Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for technical architects?
Adobe, Qualtrics, Pluralsight, Domo, and eBay's Utah offices have all filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for senior technical roles. Larger enterprises in Salt Lake City's financial and healthcare technology sectors, including Sorenson Communications and Health Catalyst, also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for architecture-level positions.
Which visa types are most common for technical architect roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical architects in Utah, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through multinational transfers, or O-1B extraordinary ability visas, also appear in this market.
How to find technical architect visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse technical architect roles in Utah without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces employers who have a documented history of sponsoring technical talent, which is particularly useful in Utah's Silicon Slopes market where sponsorship policies vary widely between startups and established technology companies.
Which cities in Utah have the most technical architect sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and Lehi account for the majority of technical architect sponsorship activity in Utah. Lehi, at the center of the Silicon Slopes tech corridor, hosts regional headquarters for Qualtrics, Domo, and Pluralsight. Salt Lake City adds enterprise employers in healthcare IT, fintech, and cloud infrastructure. Provo and Draper also contribute, particularly through companies with ties to Brigham Young University's engineering programs.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical architects pursuing sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for technical architects are set by the Department of Labor and apply to all H-1B petitions regardless of state. One practical consideration is Utah's strong university pipeline: Brigham Young University and the University of Utah produce significant computer science and engineering talent, which means employers in the state are generally familiar with sponsoring early-career and mid-career technical professionals, including international candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical architect jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
