INTRODUCTION
Please note: This will be a paid internship and you must be located in Richmond, VA area. This will require a hybrid schedule (in-office 3 days per week). The Summer Internship will run from 6/1 - 8/7 or 8/14 (depending on intern school schedules).
SUMMARY
The Revenue Systems & Insights Intern supports the Revenue Intelligence & Enablement team in maintaining clean data, improving reporting accuracy, and enabling faster, more informed revenue decisions. This role sits at the intersection of Salesforce, analytics, and GTM execution, providing hands-on exposure to how a global IoT company drives revenue performance. The intern will assist with pipeline reporting, data hygiene, pricing analysis, and workflow automation while learning how revenue systems translate into business outcomes. This is a practical, execution-focused role designed for someone who wants to understand how RevOps actually drives revenue, not just reports on it.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Salesforce & Data Hygiene Support:
- Assist in maintaining data quality in Salesforce, including:
- Opportunity stage accuracy
- Required field completion
- Pipeline cleanliness
- Flag inconsistencies in deal data, forecasting inputs, and account records
- Support audits of pipeline data to improve forecast reliability.
Reporting & Analytics Support:
- Help prepare weekly reporting outputs:
- Pipeline movement
- Booking trends
- Forecast vs plan tracking
- Build and maintain basic dashboards in Excel or Power BI
- Support analysis of sales performance, including win rates and deal velocity.
Automation & Process Improvement:
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and propose simple automation solutions
- Support testing and adoption of tools such as:
- Salesforce reporting enhancements
- AI tools (ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, NotebookLM, etc.)
- Help document workflows and improve process clarity for sales teams.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By The End Of The Internship, You Will
- Understand how Salesforce supports forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue tracking
- Gain exposure to pricing strategy, deal structuring, and quote-to-cash processes
- Learn how executive reporting is built and used to drive decisions
- Develop hands-on experience with BI tools and GTM analytics
- See how AI and automation are applied in a commercial environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or related field
- Strong Excel skills: experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus
- Interest in sales operations, analytics, or revenue strategy
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working with data and learning new systems quickly
- Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
