Location Requirement:
The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in one of our Segra offices, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager, Purchasing leads the indirect purchasing team and oversees day-to-day purchasing operations for indirect goods and services. This role manages a team of Indirect Buyers and is responsible for PO and blanket order management, supplier relationships, sourcing support, invoice-discrepancy escalation, and compliance with purchasing policies and audit requirements. The Manager partners with Operations, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities, Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain to deliver timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement solutions. Success requires strong people leadership, procurement execution, analytical, communication, negotiation, and ERP skills, including experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of supply chain experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
- Supply Chain and purchasing experience, preferably with indirect goods and services
- Hands-on experience with D365 or a similar ERP system
- Prior people leadership, team lead, supervisory, or demonstrated mentoring experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or other procurement certification preferred
- MBA or master’s degree preferred

- Cross-functional Communication: Able to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior and executive leaders.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills to interpret purchasing activity, identify trends, and recommend actions.
- Customer Focus and Responsiveness: Collaborative approach to supporting internal stakeholders with timely, clear, and practical purchasing guidance.
