Which companies sponsor visas for DevOps managers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing are among the most active H-1B sponsors for DevOps manager roles in Washington. Beyond those household names, mid-sized cloud and SaaS companies headquartered in the Puget Sound region, including Tableau, Zillow, and Expedia, have consistent histories of sponsoring international engineers into management-level positions. Defense and aerospace contractors around the Seattle-Tacoma corridor also sponsor, though security clearance requirements can complicate eligibility.
Which visa types are most common for DevOps manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for DevOps managers in Washington, given the role's requirements typically satisfy the specialty occupation standard, with a relevant bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on L-1A intracompany transferee visas, particularly those managing DevOps teams at multinational employers, represent another pathway. O-1A visas apply to candidates with demonstrated exceptional ability in their field.
Which cities in Washington have the most DevOps manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the largest share of DevOps manager sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by the concentration of major tech employers and cloud infrastructure companies in the greater Eastside area. Redmond, home to Microsoft's global headquarters, is a consistent source of openings. Smaller concentrations exist in Kirkland and Bothell, where biotech and enterprise software firms have growing engineering organizations.
How to find devops manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have active H-1B sponsorship histories, making it easier to focus on DevOps manager positions in Washington without sorting through companies unlikely to sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings across Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by company size and hiring cycle, using a targeted platform like Migrate Mate saves meaningful time in your search.
What should DevOps managers know about H-1B prevailing wages and hiring in Washington?
Washington employers filing H-1B petitions for DevOps managers must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role in the specific metropolitan area, as determined by Department of Labor wage data. The Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma metro is classified as a high-wage market, which means prevailing wage floors for management-level engineering roles are among the highest in the country. Employers typically document this through a certified Labor Condition Application before your petition can be filed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored devops manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
