ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
Our agency opened in 2012 and has grown into a team of five who enjoy working hard and celebrating success together. Before becoming an agent, I worked as a bank manager but insurance was always familiar to me growing up, as my mom worked for a State Farm agent, which helped spark my interest in the industry.
I’m a big Oregon Ducks fan and a season ticket holder. My kids are currently in college, and outside of work I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. We stay involved in the community through our church, volunteer work, and sponsoring local events like school carnivals.
Our team enjoys a variety of incentives and benefits, including travel bonuses for sales team members, annual bonuses, a tiered commission structure, early office closure on Fridays at 4pm, a 401(k), licensing reimbursement, and a strong focus on work-life balance.
Our culture is collaborative and fun. We enjoy celebrating wins together through team lunches, dinners, Topgolf outings, and holiday celebrations. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and celebrates success along the way.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Which insurance companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in Washington?
Washington-based insurers with a track record of hiring international students include PEMCO Mutual Insurance, Safeco (a Liberty Mutual subsidiary headquartered in Seattle), and Symetra Financial. Larger national carriers like Farmers Insurance and Allstate also maintain Washington offices that have taken on CPT students. Sponsorship availability varies by department and hiring cycle, so direct outreach to recruiting teams is worth pursuing.
Which cities in Washington have the most insurance F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Seattle concentrates the most insurance F-1 CPT opportunities, anchored by regional carrier headquarters and the city's broader financial services ecosystem. Bellevue is a strong secondary market, with several insurers and reinsurance firms operating east of Lake Washington. Tacoma has a smaller but active insurance employment base. Spokane, on the eastern side of the state, hosts regional offices for some national carriers and can be worth monitoring.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Roles in actuarial science, underwriting analysis, data analytics, risk modeling, and claims analytics are the most common CPT-eligible positions in Washington's insurance sector. These roles typically require quantitative degrees and involve structured project work that aligns well with CPT authorization requirements. Internship programs at larger carriers tend to be more consistently structured for F-1 compliance than ad hoc roles at smaller agencies.
How do I find insurance F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international students seeking CPT and OPT-eligible roles, including insurance jobs in Washington. You can filter directly by visa type and state to surface employers who have sponsored F-1 students in the insurance sector. This saves time compared to manually screening general job postings where sponsorship eligibility is rarely stated upfront. Migrate Mate also updates listings regularly to reflect current hiring cycles.
Are there any Washington-specific or insurance-specific considerations for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change CPT authorization requirements. On the insurance side, Washington State's Office of the Insurance Commissioner regulates the industry closely, meaning roles involving licensing (such as sales or brokerage) may require state licensure that can complicate CPT eligibility. Actuarial, analytics, and back-office roles generally avoid that complexity. Always confirm CPT authorization with your Designated School Official before accepting any position.
