Which companies sponsor visas for project management consultants in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, and Accenture are among the most consistent sponsors of project management consultants in Washington, based on Department of Labor disclosure data. Federal contractors operating around Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard also file regularly. Consulting firms with Seattle offices, including Deloitte and KPMG, have established sponsorship track records for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for project management consultant roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project management consultants in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or information systems. The L-1B and L-1A are also used when candidates transfer within multinational companies. Nationals of Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is available year-round.
Which cities in Washington have the most project management consultant sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Redmond account for the largest share of project management consultant sponsorship jobs in Washington, anchored by the region's technology sector. Bellevue has grown significantly as a secondary hub, with major consulting and tech firms establishing offices there. Tacoma and Olympia also see activity, primarily through government contracting and healthcare organizations that hire project management consultants and sponsor visas.
How to find project management consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate aggregates visa sponsorship jobs specifically for international candidates, including project management consultant roles filtered by Washington state. The platform pulls from employers with documented sponsorship histories, so you can focus your search on companies already familiar with the H-1B and other work visa processes. Filtering by Washington on Migrate Mate surfaces opportunities across Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue, and other active hiring markets in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for project management consultant visa sponsorship in Washington?
Washington's Department of Labor and Industries sets prevailing wage determinations that employers must meet when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B workers in project management consultant roles. The Seattle-Bellevue-Everett metro area falls under a higher prevailing wage tier than more rural parts of the state, which affects how employers structure offers. The University of Washington and Washington State University also produce a pipeline of internationally educated graduates who enter the job market seeking sponsorship in this field.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management consultant jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
