The Commercial Training Manager is responsible for translating product messaging and market strategy, defined by Product Management and Product Marketing, into effective commercial capability across North America. This role does not own product definition or market strategy, but plays a critical leadership role in commercial readiness, adoption, and execution, ensuring training content is aligned, consistent, prioritized, and impactful.

- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive North American commercial training strategy and annual training plan, aligned with product launches, portfolio priorities, and commercial objectives – to the various training audiences (internal and external).
- Design and maintain structured training paths that support different commercial roles, experience levels, and market needs within North America.
- Translate Product Marketing and Product Management inputs into clear, concise, and actionable training content focused on real-world application.
- Manage the organization, prioritization, and lifecycle of commercial training content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and consistency.
- Deliver training through appropriate formats (in-person, virtual, digital platforms), balancing effectiveness, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing to ensure training reflects approved value propositions, product positioning, and commercial messaging.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to support technical accuracy and application understanding.
- Support product launches, dealer meetings, and major commercial events in North America with aligned training execution.
- Conduct ongoing training needs analysis through engagement with sales teams, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
- Measure and monitor training participation and effectiveness, continuously refining content and approach to drive adoption and impact.
- Own and manage commercial training systems and platforms (e.g., WebAcademy or similar tools).
- Manage training budgets, reporting, and operational governance.
- Contribute to the evolution of commercial training processes, frameworks, and standards within a growing Americas product organization.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in commercial training, product marketing, sales enablement, product support, or similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of commercial organizations, dealer networks, and capital equipment sales environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing training platforms, content governance, and budgets preferred.
- Willingness to travel (30-35%) within North America as required.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $106,700.00 - $163,600.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for training managers?
Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories in training and organizational development roles include Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, Epic Systems and American Family Insurance in Madison, and Kohler Co. in Sheboygan County. Large healthcare networks such as Advocate Aurora Health and Froedtert Health also sponsor training professionals, particularly those supporting clinical education and workforce development programs.
Which visa types are most common for training manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for training managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field. Some candidates transition from F-1 OPT status into H-1B sponsorship. Multinational candidates with experience at a parent company abroad may also explore the L-1A intracompany transferee category.
How to find training manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have active visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify training manager positions in Wisconsin without manually researching each company's immigration history. You can search by role and state to surface openings at Wisconsin-based employers in manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services, the three sectors most likely to sponsor training professionals in this market.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most training manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the largest share of training manager sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of financial services firms, insurers, and healthcare systems drives consistent demand, while Madison's technology and insurance sectors, anchored by Epic Systems and American Family Insurance, generate steady openings. Green Bay, with its food manufacturing and healthcare presence, and the Fox Valley corridor around Appleton also see relevant activity.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for training managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's manufacturing and healthcare industries dominate sponsorship activity for training managers, so candidates with experience designing technical training programs or clinical onboarding curricula tend to be more competitive. The state's strong university pipeline, including graduates from UW-Madison and Marquette University, means employers often have established pathways for OPT-to-H-1B transitions. Employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metro area where the role is based.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored training manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
