We are looking for a senior Marketing Program Manager to drive strategic growth and enterprise adoption of Illumio Segmentation. In this role, you will lead high-impact Account Based Marketing (ABM) programs and orchestrate sophisticated, cross-functional demand generation motions that span enterprise accounts, product-led growth, and field sales alignment. You will operate as a senior individual contributor — setting strategic direction, mentoring peers, and owning outcomes end-to-end.
Your Impact:
Account Based Marketing
- Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of ABM programs targeting high-value enterprise accounts for Illumio Segmentation, driving pipeline from first touch through close.
- Build and manage tiered ABM programs (1:1, 1:few, 1:many) across named accounts in financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure verticals.
- Partner with Sales, SDRs, and Revenue Operations to align on target account lists, account scoring, and coordinated outreach cadences.
- Develop personalized, account-specific content and campaign plays in collaboration with Product Marketing, including executive briefs, segmentation value assessments, and ROI models.
- Orchestrate multi-channel ABM activation across digital advertising, events, direct mail, and executive engagement programs.
Demand Generation & Program Leadership
- Lead planning, execution, and optimization of integrated demand generation campaigns that drive prospect acquisition, pipeline acceleration, and expansion within the Illumio Segmentation customer base.
- Operate as a senior strategic voice in cross-functional planning, setting program priorities and influencing GTM direction in collaboration with Product, PMM, and Sales leadership.
- Design and operationalize blended GTM motions that integrate ABM, product-led signals, and field sales efforts into cohesive campaign plays.
- Manage full-funnel performance measurement, adjusting investment and execution to hit pipeline and revenue targets.
- Oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and agency partnerships with a focus on program efficiency and demonstrable ROI.
- Analyze omni-channel performance across digital, ABM platforms, events, and sales-assisted channels to surface optimization opportunities.
- Champion a rigorous test-and-learn culture — running structured experiments on messaging, audience segmentation, and channel mix for Illumio Segmentation campaigns.
- Provide executive-level reporting on program performance, insights, and strategic recommendations, including quarterly business reviews.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team playbooks, process improvements, and capability building.
Who You Are
- Strategic operator who thinks in systems — you understand how ABM, product signals, sales coverage, and brand intersect to drive enterprise pipeline.
- Highly collaborative with the credibility to influence cross-functional leaders in Product, Sales, and Marketing without formal authority.
- Data-driven with the business acumen to translate full-funnel metrics into executive narratives and program pivots.
- Comfortable owning ambiguous, high-stakes programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Disciplined project manager who holds cross-functional teams accountable while keeping programs on track and on budget.
Your Toolkit:
- 10+ years of experience in ABM, demand generation, growth marketing, or GTM program management in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity.
- Deep expertise in Account Based Marketing strategy and execution — including ABM platform management (e.g., Demandbase, 6sense, Terminus) and sales-marketing alignment frameworks.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-quarter programs that span technical, product, and go-to-market workstreams at an enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity buyer journey, particularly in network security, Zero Trust, or segmentation solution categories.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across Product, PMM, Sales, and Revenue Operations.
- Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot), CRM (Salesforce), and analytics tooling (Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — able to tailor messaging for technical buyers, economic buyers, and internal executive audiences.
Bonus Points:
- Direct experience marketing cybersecurity, microsegmentation, or Zero Trust security solutions.
- Familiarity with Illumio's platform and the enterprise firewall/segmentation competitive landscape.
- Experience running executive engagement programs (EBCs, roundtables, C-suite dinners) as part of ABM plays.
- Background building or scaling an ABM function from the ground up in a growth-stage or enterprise SaaS company.
Our Commitment:
Illumio believes that an environment of unique backgrounds, experiences, viewpoints, and individual contributions drives our success and makes us stronger together. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining a diverse culture and emphasizing inclusion and belonging.
Compensation Range: $148K - $178K

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as an Account Based Marketing Manager
Target B2B technology companies first
Enterprise SaaS and technology firms run the most active ABM programs and file the highest volume of sponsorship petitions for this role. Their marketing teams are large enough to justify headcount and experienced enough to navigate the visa process without hesitation.
Frame your degree field precisely
USCIS requires your degree to relate directly to the role. Marketing, business administration, communications, and information systems all qualify cleanly. If your degree is in an adjacent field, document how your coursework maps to ABM strategy, demand generation, and campaign management functions.
Lead with measurable pipeline impact
Sponsoring employers want evidence that you move revenue, not just run campaigns. Quantify pipeline influenced, account penetration rates, and deal velocity improvements in your resume. Numbers translate across borders and give hiring managers a concrete case to build around internally.
Raise sponsorship after demonstrating your expertise
ABM is a specialized enough function that strong candidates have real leverage. Use the interview process to establish your value before the sponsorship conversation. Employers who are convinced you are the right hire are far more likely to move forward with visa paperwork.
Understand which visa fits your situation
Australians should explore the E-3 visa, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely and can be filed within weeks of an offer. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify under TN status in the marketing manager category. H-1B remains the standard path for all other nationalities.
Prepare your employer for the LCA step
Many hiring managers have never sponsored before and stall at the Labor Condition Application. Explaining that the LCA is a Department of Labor filing, not a lengthy government investigation, and typically takes under two weeks, often resolves the hesitation before it derails your offer.

Find Account Based Marketing Manager JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Account Based Marketing Manager qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS evaluates specialty occupation based on whether the role normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. ABM Manager roles at technology and enterprise companies consistently cite marketing, business, or communications degrees as requirements. Roles where any degree is acceptable regardless of field are harder to approve, so the job description wording matters significantly.
Which companies are most likely to sponsor an Account Based Marketing Manager?
Mid-size to large B2B SaaS companies are the most consistent sponsors for this role. Firms with dedicated demand generation or revenue marketing teams, particularly in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software, file the most LCAs for ABM-related titles. Migrate Mate filters job listings by sponsorship willingness, so you can browse companies already committed to sponsoring this type of role.
Can an Account Based Marketing Manager qualify for an E-3 visa as an Australian citizen?
Yes. The E-3 is available to Australian citizens for specialty occupation roles, and ABM Manager qualifies under the same degree-requirement standard as H-1B. You apply directly at a U.S. consulate in Australia without going through the lottery, and the process typically takes four to eight weeks from offer to visa. Your employer files a Labor Condition Application, and you handle the consular application yourself.
What degree do I need to get sponsored as an Account Based Marketing Manager?
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a closely related field is the standard requirement. Information systems or data analytics degrees can also support sponsorship when the role emphasizes account intelligence and marketing technology. A degree in an unrelated field is harder to work with, though a combination of a two-year degree and significant relevant experience can sometimes satisfy the specialty occupation threshold through the three-for-one experience substitution rule.
How competitive is the H-1B lottery for marketing roles compared to technical roles?
Marketing roles are filed at lower volumes than software engineering positions, which means a slightly smaller share of H-1B cap registrations come from this function, but the lottery odds are the same for everyone. Selection is random within the cap. Australians, Canadians, and Mexicans have lottery-free alternatives in the E-3 and TN categories, which makes the sponsorship path considerably more predictable for those nationalities compared to the H-1B process.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Account Based Marketing Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
