Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Marketing Account Manager
Target agencies over in-house teams
Marketing agencies sponsor visas more frequently than in-house brand teams because they're accustomed to hiring for specialized skills. Agencies that work with multinational clients are particularly likely to have established immigration processes already in place.
Highlight client retention and revenue metrics
Sponsoring employers want evidence the hire is worth the cost. Account managers who can quantify client retention rates, upsell revenue, or portfolio growth give employers a concrete business case that helps justify sponsorship internally and supports visa petitions.
Ask about sponsorship early in the process
Raising sponsorship after an offer is made creates friction. Bringing it up after the first interview, framed around your timeline and visa type, filters out unwilling employers faster and signals that you understand the process professionally.
Browse verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Not every job posting that lacks a sponsorship mention means the employer won't sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces Marketing Account Manager roles from employers with verified sponsorship history, saving time spent applying to positions that were never realistic options.

Find Marketing Account Manager JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does a Marketing Account Manager role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, Marketing Account Manager roles can qualify as H-1B specialty occupations when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like marketing, communications, or business. The key is how the job description is written. Roles requiring a degree in any field, or where no degree is required at all, will face greater scrutiny from USCIS and may not qualify.
What visa options are available for Marketing Account Managers seeking U.S. sponsorship?
The most common paths are the H-1B and, for Australian citizens, the E-3 visa. The E-3 is often the better starting point for Australians because it has no annual lottery, costs employers less in fees, and can be processed at Australian consulates without changing status inside the U.S. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also explore TN status under the USMCA for certain business roles.
How do I find Marketing Account Manager jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter reliably by sponsorship availability, which means significant time wasted on roles that won't pan out. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, listing Marketing Account Manager roles from employers with confirmed sponsorship history. Filtering by visa type lets you focus on positions that match your situation from the start.
Will my degree in a field like communications or business support a visa petition for this role?
Generally yes. Marketing Account Manager positions map well to degrees in marketing, communications, advertising, or business administration. USCIS looks for a direct relationship between the degree field and the role's core duties. A communications or marketing degree paired with client-facing, campaign management responsibilities is a strong fit. A degree in an unrelated field, like engineering, would require additional justification from the employer.
Do smaller marketing agencies sponsor visas, or should I focus only on large employers?
Smaller agencies can and do sponsor visas, particularly for account managers who manage significant client revenue. The practical barrier is internal: smaller firms often lack an immigration attorney on retainer and may be unfamiliar with the process. Coming prepared with a clear explanation of your visa type, realistic timelines, and estimated employer costs addresses the most common objections and meaningfully improves your chances with those employers.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Marketing Account Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
