INTRODUCTION
Shape the heartbeat of our plant. On 2nd or 3rd shift, you’ll keep production moving by inspecting, servicing, repairing, and installing the machines and systems that power our foundry. You’ll balance proactive care with fast, safe response when equipment needs attention—so our teams can deliver on schedule.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A day in the life:
- Begin with preventive maintenance and inspections across a fast-paced, production-focused facility.
- Deep-clean equipment and components; remove, service, and reinstall parts to spec.
- Respond to unexpected breakdowns, diagnose root causes, and perform efficient, lasting repairs.
- Support machine moves and new installations to enhance throughput and reliability.
- Lubricate, adjust, and calibrate equipment for peak performance; document all work performed.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, InduSoft, and SAP to create work orders, order parts, record time, submit reports, and communicate.
- Assist outside contractors on special projects and participate in weekend/holiday plant shutdowns as scheduled.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Supervision: None; this is an individual contributor role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Background in welding, fabrication, plumbing/pipefitting preferred.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn required.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/community college coursework or equivalent experience preferred.

- Basic hand tools; battery-powered/electric/air tools.
- Saws, drills, grinders, torches, welders, pipe threaders.
- Forklift, aerial lift, overhead hoist.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Perform work at heights on aerial lift platforms and catwalks with appropriate PPE.
- Operate in dirty/dusty areas with PPE; enter confined spaces with PPE.
- Potential exposure to high heat (near molten Iron and hot castings) in summer.
- Potential exposure to cold while working outdoors in winter.
- Fast-paced, demanding, production-focused setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Climb stairs/ladders; bend, stretch, push, pull, pinch, and kneel as needed.
- Visual inspection of parts and machinery.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
