- Four (4) years of experience supporting IT inventory, logistics, asset tracking, or technology operations.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards related to information technology asset management and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of asset tracking systems, inventory management practices, and data governance requirements.
- Knowledge of applicable data security, privacy, and compliance requirements related to information technology assets.
- Skill in coordinating technology asset management activities across information technology, finance, operations, and vendor partners.

Major Duties/Essential Functions
- Provides centralized oversight and accountability for the IT asset lifecycle to ensure consistent practices across all schools, offices, and departments.
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the enterprise IT asset management system by ensuring devices are properly tagged, assigned, tracked, reconciled, and retired in accordance with established procedures.
- Leads periodic inventory audits and reconciliation efforts across division locations; investigates discrepancies, documents findings, and coordinates corrective actions.
- Partners with Technology Support Specialists and other IT staff to ensure timely and accurate asset updates related to deployment, repair, replacement, reassignment, and retirement.
- Develops and maintains annual and multi-year device replacement forecasts using asset data such as age, condition, warranty status, utilization trends, and lifecycle expectations.
- Monitors replacement demand and refresh activity throughout the fiscal year and adjusts projections to support operational planning, budget development, and capital requests.
- Provides regular lifecycle, inventory, and replacement reporting to Finance and IT leadership to support planning, cost control, and technology investment decisions.
- Coordinates and standardizes replacement and reassignment activities to ensure decisions are data-driven, equitable, and aligned with established division procedures.
- Oversees the recovery, evaluation, and reassignment of replaced devices for reuse, loaner pools, or redeployment, as appropriate, to maximize asset value and extend device life.
- Manages secure end-of-life and disposal processes by coordinating data wiping, removal from inventory systems, and disposition activities in compliance with data privacy, security, and environmental requirements.
- Serves as the primary liaison with approved IT asset disposition vendors and coordinates resale or recycling activities; ensures appropriate documentation is obtained and retained.
- Tracks and reports recovered value from resale and reuse programs to support financial accountability and cost recovery efforts.
- Identifies opportunities to improve asset management practices through process improvement, workflow enhancements, automation, reporting efficiencies, and lifecycle optimization.
- Ensures compliance with division, state, and federal requirements related to data privacy, information security, financial accountability, and asset management; supports internal and external audits and leadership inquiries.
- Leads or participates in initiatives and projects related to IT asset management, including system and process improvements.
- Performs related duties as required or assigned.
